Dan comes from a successful 24 year career in the hospitality industry where he has been the General Manager of both company owned and franchised Marriott and Hilton Brand hotels. He has proudly earned numerous awards and achievements that include “Hotel of the Year”, “Highest Guest Satisfaction in Brand”, as well as the “Highest Quality Assurance Score in Management Company”.

Dan has opened five hotels where he was responsible for organizing and implementing the entire operational and sales teams. This included setting up policy and procedures in each department, operating budgets, total profit and loss accountability, as well as directing all pre/post opening Sales and Marketing functions.

Dan is highly skilled at obtaining past and current market competition statistics that are useful in the development of various Sales, Marketing, and Pricing strategies.

Dan has been a past board member for the Better Business Bureau and The Triangle Area Motel and Hotel Association. He is also a member of The Chamber of Commerce as well as a Rotarian.

I do have to spend time away from my family just as I did before. But now, if I want to stay home and cook my kids breakfast, I can. On nice sunny days, if I want to cut out early to take the kids swimming, I do. I don’t just have weekends to choose from anymore.”
